A POTTED HISTORY
I now live and work in Bollington in Cheshire, but was educated in Carlisle. Where after school I attended the Cumbria Collage of Art and Design on an Art Foundation Course. I decided from there to go to what was then Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham to do a BA(hon) Degree in Fine Art, which I graduated from in 1987.
After working in studios for a year after leaving collage I decided, mainly due to lack of money, to try to get a paying art related job. This lead me into the animation industry, painting backgrounds and assisting on and producing hand drawn animations. After about 3 years or so, redundancy's in the industry lead me to find myself as an artist in computer games. Working on 3D environments, models and a little animation. Where I have been, albeit at various company's ever since.. x BACK TO PAINTING
So back to Painting. I have tried to keep my hand in over the years, some times not very successfully. However since taking some time out due to circumstances of redundancy and maternity leave, I found myself with a little more time to get back to painting. Now, although working again and having two young children, I am determined to peruse and develop my painting and print making once more.
I hope to be able to develop this site along with my work, and use it to chart my progress.
